The OpenMS team and Steffen Neumann from CIBI will teach four workshops in South Africa.

Topic: Plant Proteomics and Metabolomics
The workshop highlights the technologies of metabolomics and proteomics for plant biotechnology. Equal time will be given to lectures and hands-on exercises. Topics include an introduction to biological liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), targeted and untargeted methods for metabolomics, metabolite identification, quantitation in LC-MS/MS, web resources for plant molecular biology, ontologies for plant research, and RNA-Seq for organisms lacking published genomes.
